Tenuta l'Ugo
Located near Tavarnelle Val Di Pesa, in the Florentine Chianti area, the Ugo country estate is a property of the Conticelli brothers: Paolo, Piero, Stefano and Gianni. It extends over 130 hectares - of which 60 are cultivated with specialized vineyard - at an altitude which ranges between 250 and 300 meters above sea level. The vine rows enjoy a south-western exposure.
All the vineyards were renewed with a density of about 4500/5000 plants per hectare. The predominant variety is Sangiovese, with small quantities of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Canaiolo.
The factory center is located in the outbuildings of the wonderful sixteenth-century Villa dell’Ugo, provided with old underground wine cellars, with concrete tanks, oak barrels and barriques.
